I am a swamp funk junkie for MOFRO. I was ecstatic when I read that they would be playing at Nightfall this year. Remarkable choice! After 30 + shows I am still eager for more. If you have never experienced the soulful, southern sound that so freely rolls from JJ Grey please treat yourself. You’ll be hooked, and you’ll never regret it!

It would be good for Nightfall to attract more good bands from Texas - Dale Watson or other Austin-based bands. Or Dave Alvin, Joe Ely, Delbert McClinton, Pat McLaughlin, etc. Hal Ketchum was fantastic finish for last year. Too many obscure, local bands presently booked.

The Chattanooga Downtown Partnership enhances the quality and viability of the downtown area by producing, coordinating and/or encouraging events and activities designed to animate and enliven the public spaces, and by providing the promotion and marketing necessary to attract people downtown.
History
The Chattanooga Downtown Partnership came into existence in 1991 as a result of a visioning process during which it was determined that an organization was needed to focus on a menu of downtown issues, ranging from business retention to marketing, beautification and animation. Formed as a subsidiary of the RiverCity Company, CDP consolidated the former tasks of the Chattanooga Downtown Alliance and the programming function of the Center City Corporation. Annual funding comes from the City of Chattanooga, Allied Arts, corporate sponsorships, other private grants and concession revenues.
