The William Wrigley Jr. Company has a prominent presence in Chattanooga, now the sole production facility for Altoids breath mint products. And, McKee Foods Corporation, maker of Little Debbie brand snack cakes, is a privately held, family-run company headquartered in nearby Collegedale, Tennessee.
Volkswagen Group of America completed a $1 billion production facility that serves as its North American manufacturing headquarters. In fact, VW’s delight in our downtown area and Chattanooga’s ability “to make the intangible tangible” was a major factor in their decision to locate here. Furthermore, Volkswagen Chattanooga just announced an additional investment of $600 million and 2,000 new jobs to produce their SUV line here in Chattanooga.
